Description

The double edge razor was invented in 1903, and unlike drugstore cartridge razors that are most commonly used today, the double edge razor blade fits all double edge razors (with a some rare exceptions). Many folks love shaving with and collecting vintage razors because they were extremely well built and are a unique piece of history.  This razor was manufactured in the USA in 1971.  It uses a standard double edge razor blade (like all of the other razors we sell) and provides a fantastic, close shave.  The Super Adjustable is similar to most vintage razors in that it was designed so that you grip it only with your fingertips so the razor can pivot and glide without pressure over your skin.

The Super Adjustable is a twist-to-open or butterfly razor, meaning you twist the bottom portion of the handle and 2 doors open like butterfly wings, allowing you to place the razor blade inside.  To see the difference between a twist-to-open razor and a 3-piece razor, take a look at our video here.

The Adjustability of this razor comes by twisting the dial around the collar when the doors are open.  By twisting the dial between 1 and 9, you adjust the blade gap and angle to get a more or less aggressive (close) shave.

This razor has been cleaned and sterilized and is ready to go, including a combo pack of 5 razor blades.  Please note that because of the razor’s age, it does contain some minor surface ware, but we think that gives it character!  Comes packed in a gift box with razor history information, how to use sheet, and a pack of 5 razor blades.

If you appreciate antiques and quality manufacturing, this razor is for you!
