Shaving Brushes

Brad, the founder and co-owner of The Copper Hat, crafted this shaving brush from salvaged and dried Caragana wood from Saskatchewan.  To ensure this shaving brush stands up to years of everyday use in the water, Brad has stabilized it with a clear resin that highlights its unique natural colour and grain.

We set this brush with extremely soft “Tuxedo” synthetic nylon bristles which makes it softer than any natural bristle type.  After 10 years of manufacturing and setting people up with shaving brushes, we’ve learned that Synthetic bristles outlast natural bristles and are easier to care for.  They are lovely and soft, making them excellent for those with sensitive skin.  Synthetic bristles are also vegan.

Brad has been making shaving brushes on his wood lathe since the beginning of The Copper Hat in 2009 and loves creating something that the recipient will enjoy for many years to come!
